The Poison Sky Overnight Ratings

The Poison Sky, which aired last Saturday, got overnight ratings of 5.9 million viewers. Note that the official Barb ratings, which come out ten days after the broadcast, are usually higher. Also Planet of the Ood got official Barb ratings of 7.50 million viewers.

Rose in The Poison Sky

Last night I recieved a few emails asking if it was Rose on the Tardis monitor in The Poison Sky. Well the answer is yes. Rose Tyler used to travel with the Doctor in both Series One and Two. Unfortunately she was separated from the Doctor and got trapped in a parrallel world but is now mysteriously appearing in different places. Here is the clip of Rose from The Poison Sky.




Rose may or may not make another brief appearance again, but she is back properly in Episode 11, Turn Left which is scheduled to air in a few weeks. What do you think of Rose's appearance?

The Poison Sky Tonight

Tonight is the night that see's the climax to last weeks episode, The Sontaran Stratagem. In this weeks episode, entitled The Poison Sky, we find out what happens with the Sontarans masterplan. Here is tonights schedule;

BBC Official Site Update

The BBC Official Doctor Who Site has been updated with a brand new trailer maker where you can add in music, clips and more from Doctor Who to make your very own trailer! Also there are new clips and previews to the Poison Sky, as well as puzzles and an update to the Comic Maker which includes the newest monsters and aliens in comic form. In other news, readers of Doctor Who Magazine will have seen that the Sycorax (highlight to reveal) are in the brand new Comic Strip which was written by Rob Davis and is also the first comic to feature Donna Noble. You can read Part 1 of the comic, called The Widows Curse in Doctor Who Magazine #395 which is on sale now.

The Unicorn and the Wasp Sypnosis

The BBC Press Office has revealed the official synopsis for episode seven, The Unicorn and the Wasp. Below is the sypnosis;

"In 1926, Agatha Christie disappeared for 10 days. Was it amnesia? A nervous breakdown? Or a Giant Alien Wasp? As Russell T Davies's BAFTA award-winning time-travelling drama continues, the Doctor and Donna join forces with the world's most famous crime novelist to encounter a body in the library, poisoned cocktails and a Vespiform seeking revenge.

David Tennant plays the Doctor and Catherine Tate plays his companion Donna Noble, with guest stars Felicity Kendal and Fenella Woolgar."

Doctor Who Magazines and Books

Today, Thursday the 1st of May, is the day that two Doctor Who Magazines and one Doctor Who Book is released. First off we have Doctor Who Magazine #395 which is priced £3.99 and features previews to the next four episodes, information on Rose's return and more. Next we have Doctor Who Adventures #62, which is priced £2.10 and includes a preview to the Poison Sky and comes free with bouncy balls and a Doctor Who Adventures keyring. And finally, we have Doctor Who: Starships and Spacestations which is priced £7.99 and features an in depth look at all the Spaceships in Doctor Who.

Update: Some sources are saying that Starships and Spacestations comes out on the 8th of May. Please bare in mind it may not be released until then.
