Sinead Keenan to Appear in Doctor Who

The latest issue of SFX magazine, issue 184, is reporting that Sinead Keenan, the actress who is known mostly for her part as Nina in the BBC Three series Being Human, will be appearing in the final two Doctor Who specials of the year which air over Christmas and see the regeneration of the 10th Doctor. Along with putting this information in their magazine, SFX have also published an article on their official website about the casting news and that article can be found here.

Digital Spy Russell Tovey Interview

Digital Spy have recently posted a new interview with Russell Tovey, the British actor who played Midshipman Frame in the 2008 Doctor Who Christmas special "Voyage of the Damned", on their website. In the interview he talks about the casting of Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor. He has predicted that Matt Smith will be "brilliant" in Doctor Who and added; "Matt's probably worried, of course, but he'll have a different take on it. The joy of the Doctor's part is that he's everyman, he can be anybody so whoever comes in can put their own stamp on it." Matt Smith will begin filming for Doctor Who next month alongside Karen Gillian who will play the 11th Doctors companion.

Although his role is being kept top secret it is reported that he will apparently be playing a geeky character who is said to be "a bit of a comedy turn".
