The interior of the Tardis will be redesigned for the 5th series of Doctor Who, according to The Daily Mirror. Apparently Steven Moffat, the head writer and executive producer for series 5 wants the arrival of Matt Smith as the Doctor to signify a new era for the show. Apparently BBC bosses want a radical new overhaul in time for the new series, and the new design will also enhance the quality of the police box exterior, after it was feared the flaws of the current designs would show on screen now that it will be filmed in high definition.
