The BBC Press Office has released the synopsis for the third episode of Doctor Who series five, Victory of the Daleks , written by Mark Gatiss.

The Doctor has been summoned by an old friend, but in the Cabinet War Rooms far below the streets of blitz-torn London, it's his oldest enemy he finds waiting for him, as the time-travelling adventures continue. The Daleks are back – but can Winston Churchill be in league with them?

Victory of the Daleks airs on Saturday April 17th on BBC One and BBC HD, and will be followed by Doctor Who Confidential on BBC Three and BBC HD. In this post are some newly released images from Victory of the Daleks.
