The unofficial overnight ratings for Torchwood Miracle Day, Episode 5 are in. The Categories of Life scored 4.1 Million viewers on BBC One and BBC HD.

It had a 17.6% of the audience share and was the 9th most watched programme of the day. It won the 9pm timeslot, with Single Handed on ITV1 watched by 3.2 million viewers.
