Doctor Who is Now 45 Years Old!

This day 45 years ago, was the day that the first ever episode of Doctor Who aired on television, meaning that the 23rd of November is Doctor Who's birthday. Doctor Who began with the first Doctor, who was played by William Hartnell, then as the years went on the Doctor regenerated many times and he is now the 10th Doctor, who is of course played by David Tennant! We all hope Doctor Who continues for many years in the future, but for now we are confirmed to have 4 specials next year (plus this years Christmas special) and then Doctor Who will return with the 11th Doctor in 2010 in Series Five! Doctor Who is the longest-running science fiction television show in the whole world, what an achievement!
