The appreciation index figure for this year's Doctor Who Easter special, Planet of the Dead, has now been revealed. The episode, which aired last Saturday on BBC One and BBC HD, received an AI figure of 88. An average BBC or ITV drama would normally get an AI figure of 77, and anything that gains above 85 is considered excellent. The Sunday night repeat of Planet of the Dead that was shown on BBC3 was watched by 0.76 million viewers and Monday's BBC One showing of the episode was watched by 1.8 million, winning the timeslot, with another 30,000 watching on BBC HD.
