Planet of the Dead DVD Cover
2 Entertain have revealed the cover for the upcoming DVD release of the Doctor Who 2009 Easter Special "Planet of the Dead". The cover follows the same style as the DVD release of "The Next Doctor", which was released earlier this year. The cover along with the DVD's official synopsis can be seen below thanks to Doctor Who Online.
Bionic Woman and Merlin star Michelle Ryan plays the mysterious Lady Christina de Souza who joins the Doctor on a bus-trip which takes a very unexpected detour into danger. British comedy star Lee Evans also joins the cast playing a character called Malcolm whose life becomes connected to the Doctor's under extraordinary circumstances and Noma Dumezweni returns as Captain Erisa Magambo - last seen helping Rose and Donna save the world in Turn Left.The Planet of the Dead DVD is currently scheduled to be released on the 29th of June, and it will go on sale in all good shops across the UK and Ireland at the recommended retail price of £15.99. At the moment it is unknown when this DVD will be released on Blu-ray format, but more details on that will be posted here as soon as they become available.
