Yes! You read right, the mysterious woman who appeared throughout The End of Time is in fact the Doctor’s mother. This along many other unknown facts are revealed in the updated edition of showrunner Russell T Davies’ book, The Writers Tale: The Final Chapter, such as that Martha was originally supposed to be in Enemy of the Bane (SJA series 2 finale) but Freema Agyeman was unavailable, so they used the Brigadier instead.
