Earlier this year we reported about a new Doctor Who game which was in development. Now more details are available, the game will hopefully be released by Christmas this year, and is centred around the new Doctor. The game will only be on the Nintendo Wii and DS consoles, after Nintendo made a £10 million contract to make the game. An insider was quoted as saying: "This has been in the pipeline for years, we're delighted to have finally nailed down a deal. We went with Nintendo as they have huge appeal for families and Doctor Who is very much a family brand. The Wii console is key for us as it's something families play together." The BBC will closely monitor the making of the game too make sure it isn’t too violent. “BBC Worldwide, which licenses BBC shows, has been trying to find some way of doing it, but you can't have Doctor Who blowing things to bits with a laser gun. That would massively change the nature of the show. "The game is said to feature enemies such as the Daleks, Cybermen, and Silurians. More news to come.
