LIVE COVERAGE: SERIES FIVE PRESS LAUNCH
The press launch for Doctor Who series five was held in Cardiff today, which also saw the screening for the first episode, The Eleventh Hour. Matt Smith and Karen Gillian attended the event. Below is an image of the outside of the press launch where there was a display set up of the Tardis knocked over.
BBC News correspondent Lizo Mzimba caught up with Matt Smith at the launch for an interview, PLUS the very first preview clip for The Eleventh Hour was also shown, see a video of the news report and the clip below!
Over the coming days there will be lots of reviews, new preview clips, trailers, and other media coverage for The Eleventh Hour, all of which will be posted here! Doctor Who series five starts Saturday the 3rd of April on BBC1.
UPDATE: At the launch executive producer Piers Wenger confirmed that Doctor Who will return for a Christmas special this year, and a FURTHER FULL 13 EPISODE SIXTH SERIES in 2011, with Matt staying on as the Doctor.
