Overnight figures show that A Christmas Carol was watched by 10.3 million people last night on BBC One and BBC One HD, and was the second most watched show of the whole day behind Eastenders. On BBC Three Doctor Who Confidential was watched by 207,000 people. A repeat of The Sarah Jane Adventures Death of the Doctor managed to get 1.4 million views, a higher rating than its original broadcast in October.
