BBC CUTS TORCHWOOD GAY SEX SCENE

It seems the gay-sex scenes that John Barrowman promised are to be cut from the UK version of Miracle Day. The tabloid newspaper, The Sun claims that BBC bosses felt the scenes were "too explicit" for just "20 minutes after the watershed".

A BBC spokeswoman told the newspaper that the gay sex scene and another which involved violence had been cut.
She said: “The UK and US versions of ‘Torchwood’ are slightly different. However, these differences do not change the story in any way and the strong storylines are first and foremost to the series."
Gay sex scenes are nothing we haven't seen in Torchwood before, and sex scenes are shown way before the watershed on shows such as Hollyoaks. What happened to the days when Torchwood got away with sex scenes left, right and centre, and orgasmic gas monsters? Are the BBC being old fashioned here? Can people handle a sex scene, gay or not? Leave your thoughts on the matter below.

Whatever happens, I'm sure we'll all see the scene in question via the US version.
