NIGHT TERRORS OVERNIGHT RATINGS

Last nights UK broadcast of Night Terrors was watched by 5.5 million viewers, according to overnight ratings.  It had a 25.9% share of the total television audience. Its biggest opposition was “Red and Black”, Ant and Dec’s new game show on ITV1 which had 6.6 million watching. 

Doctor Who was the 4th most watched programme of the day, below The X Factor (which had 11.1 million watching) and two episodes of Red and Black. The audience was steady throughout the episode, peaking with 5.6 million viewers and influencing 2.7 million to leave BBC One as the show finished.

Final figures will be released in 8 days by BARB, which will include those who recorded the show and watched it later, or those who caught it on BBC iPlayer, which should see a significant rise in ratings.
