Torchwood "Fallout" Audiobook Cover
The cover for the second 2012 Torchwood audio exclusive adventure has been revealed. The story is titled "Fallout" and is written by David Llewellyn, read by Tom Price who plays PC Andy in the series. See the cover and synopsis below:
This thrilling story is set after the conclusion of the most recent TV series, Miracle Day, and finds Sgt Andy dealing with a bizarre double shooting and a deadly alien virus.
When Yasmin finds a jewelled egg in her grandfather’s shed, her first thought is to sell it. Unfortunately, the object is no valuable Fabergé antique, but a dangerous weapon from another planet. Worse still, the buyer she finds online is a Russian secret agent working for the Committee for Extraterrestrial Research, who promptly swipes it, kills her brother Sayed and lands her in hospital.
When Sgt Andy Davidson realises that he’s not dealing with an ordinary double shooting, he calls Gwen Cooper, who breaks the bad news about the egg and its deadly contents. With no Torchwood to help, and Gwen in America, it’s up to Andy and Yasmin to follow the trail of the ‘Shiva virus’ – all the way from Cardiff to the British Museum...

Doctor Who Films in Spain, New Monster On Set
The Doctor Who filming crew have gone to the southern Spanish town Almeria to film scenes for a wild west themed story written by Toby Whithouse. Films such as The Magnificent Seven and A Fistful Of Dollar were once filmed there. Matt, Karen and Arthur were seen on set as well as a new monster, which is described as "a half-human half-robot Terminator-style beast which patrols a Victorian-era western town", according to The Sun. Doctor Who Magazine Issue 445 Cover
The cover for issue 445 of Doctor Who Magazine has been revealed and can be seen below. The magazine will be released this Thursday and features 7th Doctor companion Ace on the cover. Inside the issue you can read an in-depth interview with the actress, Sophie Alred.

Benedict Cumerbatch To Play The Master?
According to a report from The Express, Benedict Cumberbatch will play the role of the Master in the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. Benedict Cumerbatch rose to fame when he won the role of Sherlock Holmes in Steven Moffats BBC adaption. Although he ruled out the possibility of playing a future Doctor, he seems open to play another character.
It’s fitting that the Doctor comes face to face with his ultimate enemy, The Master, for the 50th anniversary and it’s felt Benedict is the perfect choice if schedules can work,” The Express were told. “Fans will love the idea of the man who plays Sherlock Holmes taking on the Doctor’’.

Series 7 Filming Continues On Bad Wolf Bay Location
Filming for Doctor Who series 7 took place at Southerndown Beach today where actors Matt Smith, Arthur Darvill, Karen Gillan and guest star Mark Williams filmed scenes. Southerndown Beach previously acted as Bad Wolf Bay in Doomsday and as Alfava Metraxis in The Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone. Check out some pictures from the set below:

Harry Potter Actor Mark Williams in Doctor Who
Filming for the seventh series of Doctor Who commenced today! Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill were filming scenes inside a house on Church Road in Penarth, and were photographed on their way out! Also seen on set was Harry Potter actor Mark Williams, who is rumoured to be playing Rorys dad, simply due to what he was seen wearing on set, Rorys signature jacket. John Barrowman Reveals Torchwood Book Title
Earlier today Captain Jack actor John Barrowman was interviewed by Graham Norton on BBC Radio 2, and during the interview he revealed some info about the upcoming Torchwood novel he is currently co-writing with his sister Carole Barrowman. The book is titled "Exodus Code" and is set for release in September. The pair previously worked together on the Torchwood comic strip "Captain Jack and the Selkie" for Torchwood Magazine.
Doctor Who/Star Trek Comic Crossover Confirmed
IDW have revealed that they are releasing a Doctor Who/Star Trek crossover comic series, becoming the second officially licenced Doctor Who crossover with another franchise (the other being Dimensions In Time, a charity special crossover with Eastenders). Read a press release below:
In conjunction with BBC Worldwide Consumer Products and CBS Consumer Products, IDW Publishing will make history when two of the greatest science-fiction properties of all time come together in a comic book for the first time. The world’s most popular time traveler teams up with the U.S.S. Enterprise crew in STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION/DOCTOR WHO: ASSIMILATION2, taking fans on an adventure where no man has gone before.
“By joining these two sci-fi powerhouses, fans will be taken on the ultimate adventure through time and space,” said Liz Kalodner, executive vice president and general manager of CBS Consumer Products.

This eight-issue series will be written by Scott and David Tipton, the authors of critically acclaimed Star Trek: Infestation, with a helping hand from longtime Doctor Who writer Tony Lee, and will feature fully painted artwork by J.K. Woodward (Fallen Angel).
Fans are encouraged to ask their retailers about the rare wraparound photo cover. Plus, artist Joe Corroney (Star Trek Ongoing) will provide a variant cover featuring the Doctor and friends aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Doctor Who and Star Trek are two hugely successful franchises that began as television series, and have expanded into a number of other media, including comic books, which continue to captivate fans all over the world. Nearly five decades and 1,500 episodes in the making, this is the moment that both Trekkers and Whovians have waited for all their lives!
