Various different British tabloids are reporting that some BBC programmes such as Doctor Who, Eastenders and Top Gear will face money cutbacks because of the current recession happening in the UK. The reports claim that Doctor Who will not have the computer generated scenes and special effects it usually has, and the cutbacks may also mean that some of the actors and actresses who work on the show will face pay-cuts.
