Unofficial overnight figures show that The Eleventh Hour was watched by 7.7 million viewers on BBC One and by 0.3 million watching on BBC HD, which adds up to a total audience of 8 million viewers. The show had a 36.8% share of the total television viewing audience.

On BBC Three, Doctor Who Confidential was watched by 0.88 million viewers. The show had a 4.3% share of the total television viewing audience and was the second most watched multi-channel programme of the day.

Final ratings, which tend to be higher, will be released by BARB in 10 days.
