Doctor Who has been named best programme of 2008 at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, a significant annual gathering of members of the British television industry. BBC One was named terrestrial channel of the year and the channel for Doctor Who Confidential, BBC Three took the prize for best digital channel. Full details on this can be found here.
