Today is Shrove Tuesday, more commonly known as Pancake Tuesday or simply Pancake Day. Shrove Tuesday is celebrated in Ireland, the United Kingdom and Austrailia, and on this day it is a tradition to make pancakes. Shrove Tuesday is the day before the first day of Lent.
